Our Cultivars…

Coffea Arabica

Coffea Arabica plants are celebrated for producing high-quality coffee beans known for their superior flavour and aroma. These plants typically reach a height of 2.5 to 4.5 meters, making them relatively manageable in size.

They feature glossy, dark green, oval-shaped leaves. Arabica beans are esteemed for their smoother, more nuanced, and less bitter taste compared to other coffee varieties. Arabica plants prefer higher altitudes and cooler temperatures, thriving in environments that meet these conditions. They require careful cultivation, as they are more susceptible to pests and diseases compared to other species.

Coffea Racemosa

The Coffea Racemosa is a unique and rare coffee plant species, indigenous to certain regions. These plants are smaller and more bush-like compared to the Arabica variety, making them well-suited for cultivation in lower altitude areas.

The Racemosa plants have smaller leaves and produce smaller beans. They are known for their adaptability to warmer climates. The coffee produced from Racemosa beans is characterised by a milder and less acidic flavour and has a lower caffeine content. This species offers an interesting alternative for coffee growers looking to diversify their crop with a less common, yet distinct coffee variety.
